How much does 101 roses cost - what does the price depend on?

Anyone who has ever considered purchasing 101 roses has likely wondered: why can prices vary so much? Is it worth paying extra for "elite" varieties, and what determines the final cost of such a popular gift? Together with the florists at BuketLand, we’ll take a closer look at how the price for 101 roses is formed and what you should pay attention to when choosing.

How much does 101 roses cost in Kyiv?

The cost of 101 roses in Kyiv can vary significantly depending on the flower variety, stem length, bud size, and the complexity of the arrangement. The price starts at an average of 4,000-5,000 UAH for bouquets of local roses with short or medium stems. However, if you want to order a bouquet of imported roses with long stems, the price can reach up to 15,000-20,000 UAH.

How much does a bouquet of 101 roses cost in other cities of Ukraine?

In other cities of Ukraine, prices for 101 roses can be slightly higher due to additional transportation costs and lower competition and demand. On average, prices start from 5,000-6,000 UAH for more affordable options, while bouquets of elite varieties and imported roses can also cost up to 15,000-20,000 UAH.

What influences the price of a large bouquet of roses?

Rose variety

Not all roses are the same, and the first factor influencing the price is the flower variety. There are hundreds of rose varieties, and each has its own characteristics. The most common varieties are:

• Dutch roses – considered some of the most beautiful and long-lasting. They have large buds and vibrant colors. However, due to being imported, their price will always be higher.
• Kenyan roses – also popular for their delicate appearance. They are often chosen for light and airy bouquets.
• Local roses – grown in Ukraine. Their price is usually lower due to the absence of transportation costs, but their appearance can rival that of imported flowers.

If you’re looking for a large bouquet of white, red, or any other color roses, it's important to remember that the rose variety plays a key role in the cost of the arrangement.

Seasonality and availability

Seasonality is another important factor. During peak seasons, such as Valentine’s Day or International Women’s Day on March 8th, the demand for roses skyrockets, which naturally affects their price. Additionally, at certain times of the year, due to weather conditions, roses may be less available, forcing flower companies to raise their prices.

In autumn and winter, prices may increase due to imports, while in summer and early autumn, when local flowers are more available, the cost may be more affordable.

Stem length

One of the most important factors affecting the price of 101 roses is the stem length. Many mistakenly believe that the bud is the most important, but in fact, longer stems add elegance to the bouquet and significantly increase its price. For example, roses with a stem length of 60 cm will be cheaper than those with stems 80-100 cm long. This is because longer stems require more space and time for growing and transportation, as well as complicating the bouquet arrangement process.

Expertise in composition

Of course, the price depends on the number of roses in the bouquet. 101 roses are not just a large number of flowers, but a special arrangement that requires professional floristry skills. Not every florist can assemble such a large bouquet. But even here, there are options: you can order a bouquet of roses of a single color, or combine different shades, or even arrange 101 roses so that a heart or another shape appears in the center of the bouquet in a contrasting color. Such complex compositions take more time to assemble and are likely to have a higher cost.

Professional florists at BuketLand can easily create such compositions, and even a large bouquet of 301 roses won’t be a problem. Florists are constantly improving their skills and can create the most complex arrangements.

Additionally, the price can be affected by decorative elements: ribbons, baskets, boxes, or other elements that highlight the beauty of the flowers.

Transportation costs

If you order flowers through BuketLand’s flower delivery service in Kyiv, it's important to consider transportation costs. Delivering a large bouquet, especially one with 101 or more roses, requires special conditions: preparing the flowers for transportation, using a suitable vehicle to prevent damage. All of this will influence the final bouquet price.

Why do people choose 101 roses?

In recent years, roses have become a real trend, especially for holidays and special occasions. A high demand for such bouquets increases the popularity, which in turn can affect the price.

In addition to symbolism (101 roses represent eternal love and devotion), large bouquets have a practical appeal. It's an excellent way to make a memorable impression, and they are often ordered for proposals, anniversaries, weddings, or important celebrations.

When choosing 101 roses, customers often focus on the price but also consider the emotional impact of such a gift.

How to buy a bouquet of 101 roses affordably?

If you want to buy a bouquet of 101 roses and still save some money, here are a few tips:

• Choose local varieties. Ukrainian roses are usually cheaper than imported ones, but they look just as stunning. They don’t require expensive transportation, so their price is lower.

• Opt for shorter stems. Roses with stems 50-60 cm long are much cheaper than those with stems over 80 cm. Short stems look delicate and compact, which is perfect for creating dense, voluminous bouquets. Of course, the bouquet will look a bit smaller, but no less luxurious and will certainly have a “wow effect.”

• Order during off-peak seasons. The price of roses rises during holiday periods, such as Valentine’s Day or March 8th. If there’s no urgent need, it’s better to buy flowers when demand is lower — prices will be more affordable at this time.

The price of 101 roses depends on many factors, but there are always alternatives to delight your loved one with a luxurious bouquet. At BuketLand, you can always find a variety of bouquet options to suit any taste and budget. Whether you’re looking for a large bouquet of 101 long-stemmed roses or a smaller arrangement, the company’s experts will help create the perfect gift.
